Before joining NRGI, Ko Ko Lwin served as a program officer for the Myanmar-based Sustainable Development Knowledge Network, or Spectrum, working broadly on transparency and accountability matters at the national and regional level. Since 2012, he has supported civil society preparations around EITI. He served as a member of the country’s first EITI multi-stakeholder group in early 2014.
Based in Yangon, Ko Ko supports the program manager in Myanmar, monitoring developments in extractive industry governance in the region. He is also responsible for coordinating activities that build capacity and partnerships among civil society organizations and other stakeholders.
Ko Ko graduated from the Magway University of Technology in Myanmar with a degree in civil engineering. He also studied environmental sustainability and geographic information systems as a visiting scholar at Hosei University in Japan and PAFID in the Philippines.
