Cho Zin leads the research and dissemination of the Resource Governance Index (RGI) in Myanmar as well capacity development in the country.
Prior to joining NRGI, Cho Zin was a senior research associate for the Institute for Strategy and Policy – Myanmar (ISP – Myanmar), where she worked on capacity building activities such as developing curricula and mentoring stakeholders on research approaches. During her time at ISP, she published research on lawmakers’ understanding of federal and democratic principles in Myanmar. Before that, Cho Zin worked as a policy officer for Oxfam in Myanmar and participated in policy advocacy for the Economic Justice Program. She has also authored the paper for the Asia Research Institute called “National Identity in Myanmar, 2010 and 2015.”
She holds a masters in public policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore and a B.A. in public policy, management, and politics from the City University of Hong Kong.
