John Rogers plays a key role in financial and strategic decision-making at the Natural Resource Governance Institute and oversees NRGI’s administrative and financial operations. He is based in Washington, D.C.
John previously worked as executive vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer at the Urban Institute, one of the nation’s most prominent institutions focused on social policy research.
Prior to joining Urban, John led the Applied Economics Group at KPMG Consulting, where he was responsible for a wide range of global consulting activities. Earlier in his career, he held positions with the U.S. government and with Price Waterhouse-Tokyo.
John received his undergraduate degree at Duke University and graduate training in public policy at the University of Pittsburgh. He serves on the boards of Mary Baldwin University, the University of Pittsburgh’s graduate school of public policy, and the Washington Men's Camerata.
