Khin Saw Htay focuses on research and communication at NRGI. She will also contribute to NRGI capacity building and policy advocacy in Myanmar.
Before joining NRGI, Khin Saw Htay worked for the Myanmar Development Research Institute (Centre for Economic and Social Development) as program coordinator for Myanmar-EITI. Her responsibilities included liaising with the Myanmar-EITI multi-stakeholder group and organizing workshops, trainings and meetings as part of Myanmar-EITI workplan. She also contributed to outreach activities, helping develop the Myanmar-EITI communication strategy and the establishment of subnational coordination units. Prior to that, she worked in humanitarian and development fields for about five years.
She finished her bachelor of science in nursing from Mandalay University of Nursing and received a master of public administration degree from the Yangon University of Economics' executive MPA program in 2015. Her thesis focused on Myanmar’s mining sector. She is completing a research diploma at the Yangon University of Economics.
