Mark Evans

Africa Economic Analyst
Social Sharing
Mark focuses on technical assistance, research and capacity building activities to improve natural resource revenue management across NRGI’s sub-Saharan Africa portfolio, with particular emphasis on Ghana and Tanzania.
Before joining NRGI, Mark was a senior policy analyst with the Pacific Institute of Public Policy, where he provided analysis of fiscal policy issues facing Pacific island nations and technical support to the government of Timor-Leste in the U.N. Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to this, Mark worked as an Overseas Development Institute fellow in the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu, producing macroeconomic analysis and advice to the Monetary Policy Committee. He has also worked as an economist in the British government.

Mark holds an economics degree from University College London and a master’s in development economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
