Claudia worked for NRGI as a research assistant for over five years and has re-joined the team after completing her master’s degree. She is in charge of managing the region’s research projects, as well as participating in technical assistance and capacity building activities.
Her research relates to the management of mining and hydrocarbon revenues in Latin America, including the distribution of revenues to subnational governments and how subnational governments have used these revenues. She has also conducted exploratory research in Peru on the impact of resource revenue spending at the local level.
Claudia holds a M.S. in environment and resource management from VU University Amsterdam and a B.A. in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
