Tommy Morrison

Research and Data Officer

Tommy is working on NRGI's open data initiatives, focusing on the collection, dissemination and use of open data in the oil, gas and mining industries. Tommy's work includes building applications and processes to aid in the collection of extractives data; managing the development and upkeep of NRGI's data portals; and supporting country teams with data analysis and visualization.

Prior to joining NRGI, Tommy worked as a research assistant with Publish What You Pay - United States in Washington, D.C., where he used data on the oil, gas and mining industries to advocate for increased financial transparency. Previously, he taught English in Almería, Spain, and researched housing and transportation costs at the Center for Neighborhood Technology, a non-profit in Chicago. He holds a B.A. in economics from Boston University.

He is based in Washington, D.C.
