Alex manages operations for the London office and works as coordinator of the Natural Resource Charter project.
Prior to joining NRGI, Alex spent seven years working on development and human rights projects in Latin America, with a focus on Bolivia and Peru. This included placements at the Peruvian office of Amnesty International and Urban Development Institute-CENCA in Lima. Most recently, he was coordinator of the Bolivia Information Forum in London, where he worked closely with U.K. aid agencies (Bond, Oxfam, CAFOD, Christian Aid) and academic institutions (University of London Institute of Latin American Studies), as well as supporting U.K. parliamentary and trade union delegations to Bolivia and delegations to the U.K. by Bolivian MPs and government ministers.
Alex holds a master’s in humanitarian and development practice from the Centre for Development and Emergency Practice (CENDEP) at Oxford Brookes University. He speaks fluent Spanish.
