MENA Just Energy Transition Platform

What is the platform?

The MENA Just Energy Transition Platform is an NRGI regional initiative connecting evidence, people and policy across the Middle East and North Africa.

It brings together technical knowledge and lived experience so that the energy transition is understood not only as a shift toward cleaner technologies, but also as a question of governance, justice, participation and development.

Energy decisions across the region are reshaping household bills, public budgets, jobs and the future of economies built on oil, gas and phosphate. Yet the debates behind those decisions are often technical, national in scope and held far from the people who live with the consequences. NRGI created the platform to open those debates up, and to turn fragmented national concerns into practical advocacy and shared regional priorities.
