Africa is rich in many of the minerals and energy resources critical to the global energy transition, but resources alone will not guarantee economic competitiveness or development. As demand for clean energy technologies and transition minerals grows, African countries have an opportunity to move beyond supplying raw materials by building the skills, institutions, technologies and industries needed to capture greater value from the clean energy economy.
