Conference Call in Response to Final SEC Oil, Mining Rule

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a final rule requiring oil, gas and mining companies listed on U.S. stock exchanges to publicly disclose tax and other payments they make to governments around the world. The rule finally implements Section 1504 (also known as the “Cardin-Lugar” provision) of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which passed in 2010. On this call, members of civil society will be presenting their reactions and analysis of this final rule.
