Diagnosing Corruption in the Extractive Sector: A Tool for Research and Action
To empower anticorruption actors to identify, understand and act against extractives sector corruption, NRGI has developed a corruption diagnostic tool to support effective research and advocacy.
In September 2021, NRGI published the first edition of the tool: Diagnosing Corruption in the Extractive Sector: A Tool for Research and Action. NRGI has now published a second edition of the tool. This seven-step tool is a flexible and adaptable guide that helps users engage on sensitive topics, identify and understand major corruption issues, develop multi-stakeholder participation and support, and build and implement action plans to prevent corruption in the future.
The latest edition brings in insights from users of the tool in five different countries, offers new guidance on pressing research topics, and features a digital microsite to help users quickly understand and navigate all relevant information.
