24 September 2024 • 8:00AM EDT New York, U.S.
The event addressed the serious risks faced by legacy and new industries such as oil & gas, traditional and renewable power, nuclear, mining and industrial companies related to decommissioning as the energy transition unfolds. It featured the launch of the Responsible Exit Principles for Oil and Gas Companies, developed by Carbon Tracker and Natural Resource Governance Institute in collaboration with Karina Litvack, and with input from a broad array of stakeholders from industry, finance, civil society and legal experts. The principles are a best practice guidance document to help companies manage the operational, legal, regulatory and reputational risk when exiting oil and gas assets.
