Discussion
28 April 2023 - 1:30pm to 3:00pm
Paris, France
Topics
CorruptionEnergy transition
Social Sharing
Organized by the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre (BHRRC), Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) and Rights and Accountability in Development (RAID-UK).

Transition minerals are necessary for renewable energy technologies, but for the energy transition to be fast it must also be fair. This session will explore the salient human rights risks within the transition mineral sector broadly, particularly examining the specific corruption risks of which all stakeholders should be aware, and will highlight case studies from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

This session was open to those attending the OECD Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains.
