As thousands of policy makers, NGOs, representatives of Indigenous and traditional peoples, activists, donors and others gather for COP30 in Belém, Brazil, the questions of whose voices are heard in the deliberations are critical and hotly debated. This timely event brings together voices from marginalized frontline territories of energy extraction and transition to present their struggles and offer their insights on how to construct more just energy futures.

The publication brings together the perspectives of activists and academics from Latin America, Africa, Europe and beyond, highlighting both the challenges and the possibilities of achieving justice in the global energy transition.
