Angie Pardo

Angie is based in Bogotá, where she supports the implementation of NRGI’s strategy in Colombia. Her work focuses on oil and gas governance and the role of the national oil company in the energy transition. She leads policy advocacy initiatives, coordinates applied research, and develops technical and communications products to inform inclusive, evidence-based reform. She engages civil society, government institutions, and development partners to foster dialogue, build coalitions, and support sustainable transitions in resource-rich regions. 

Before joining NRGI, she worked as a consultant and researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Development Studies (CIDER) at Universidad de los Andes, contributing to projects on energy transition and territorial governance. She has also worked with the National Hydrocarbons Agency and in the private sector, incluiding oil companies, leading initiatives on socio-environmental management and conflict transformation in extractive contexts, with a focus on gender equity and human rights. 

Angie holds a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Development Studies from Universidad de los Andes and a second Master’s in Social and Educational Development from CINDE. She is certified in sustainability by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and holds graduate specializations in gender public policy, human rights, and Do No Harm/peacebuilding approaches. She has an academic background in Social Work from the National University of Colombia and in Public Administration. She speaks Spanish and English.
