Based in Santiago, Chile, Cintia supports NRGI's programming in the country, focusing on the economics of mining—specifically copper and lithium. Her work encompasses benefit sharing, transparency, anticorruption efforts and securing fair deals for the extraction of transition minerals. Cintia contributes through technical assistance, economic analysis, policy reform support and research on mining governance and transition minerals in Latin America, with an emphasis on Chile.

Before joining NRGI, Cintia worked at the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco), where she conducted research and analysis on key topics such as copper price forecasting, mining productivity, and labor market dynamics, including gender inclusion and subcontracting practices in the sector.

Cintia holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and two master’s degrees in economic analysis—one from the University of Chile and another advanced master’s from KU Leuven in Belgium. She is deeply interested in leveraging her expertise in economic research and policy analysis to promote the equitable and sustainable governance of natural resources. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
