Anna Cartagena

Communications Officer, Latin America

Anna is based in Lima, and supports and positions the work of NRGI's Latin America program using a range of communications approaches.

Prior to joining NRGI she worked as text editor, content manager and strategist in print and digital media, and conducted national and international communications projects for the Iniciativa para la Conservación en la Amazonía Andina, Sociedad Peruana de Derecho Ambiental, Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism and others.

Anna is an award-winning journalist (Reportaje sobre Biovidersidad) and holds a B.A. in social communications with a journalism specialty from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Peru; an M.A in political ecology, degrowth and environmental justice and an M.A. in audiovisual communication content and publicity, both from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. She speaks Spanish, English, French and Catalan.
