El Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) ha impulsado la elaboración del Reporte Regional La Agenda de la Sociedad Civil Frente a las Industrias Extractivas en el América Latina con la finalidad de aportar argumentos para un debate ordenado sobre la manera como el final del llamado “súper ciclo” de las commodities y la implementación de las políticas de “carrera hacia el fondo” reafirman o redefinen las agendas de la sociedad civil frente a las industrias extractivas.

La sección inicial del presente reporte presenta el contexto y los conceptos básicos que informan el análisis. Los posteriores capítulos integran propuestas concretas de agenda para la sociedad civil con un análisis del legado de las políticas de promoción de las inversiones durante el súper ciclo en cuatro temas:

  • Impactos económicos,
  • Impactos sociales
  • Impactos ambientales; e,
  • Impactos en los regímenes políticos y la institucionalidad estatal.
