27 May 2025 • 10:15AM CAT Holiday Inn Hotel, Lusaka, Zambia
As part of the Regional Policy Dialogue on Africa’s Green Minerals Value Chain, organized by the Africa Institute of Environmental Law (AIEL), this panel session, “Advancing Regional Value Chains: Aligning Policy Frameworks for Africa’s Critical Minerals Development,” will bring together leading voices to unpack how African countries and regional blocs can harmonize national, regional, and continental policies to enable value addition across the continent.
NRGI’s Africa Director, Nafi Chinery, will join other experts to share perspectives on aligning governance reforms with industrial ambitions in Africa’s critical mineral sector. Drawing from NRGI’s work, Nafi will explore how governments can strengthen national strategies through alignment with frameworks such as the Africa Mining Vision (AMV), the Africa Green Minerals Strategy (AGMS), and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
