Nafi Chinery is a social development expert specializing in organizational development with particular emphasis on women’s leadership, strengthening institutional governance system and structures for effectiveness.
Nafi has worked for over 20 years with Oxfam GB and the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) on programs that have transformed organizations to advocate for inclusive decision-making, taking into account the interest of marginalized groups and communities. She is the initiator of AWDF’s flagship programs; the Resource Mobilization Boot Camps; and the annual African Women’s CEO Forum and African Women Leadership and Governance Program, which have trained over 1,000 African women leaders and organizations. Nafi is a 2014 Aspen New Voices Fellow.
She holds a master’s degree in social development and sustainable L=livelihoods from the University of Reading, U.K., and a bachelor of arts and diploma in education from Cape Coast University, Cape Coast, Ghana.
