Frenky Simanjuntak

Frenky Simanjuntak is a consultant for NRGI based in Indonesia, focusing on the governance of transition minerals and anti-corruption.
He is an independent environmental, social and governance (ESG) consultant with more than twenty years of experience in natural resource governance, anti-corruption and policy development. He specializes in stakeholder analysis and engagement, political analysis and qualitative research.
He began his career working in civil society organizations, including seven years at Transparency International Indonesia. Over the past ten years, he has shifted to private sector and consulting work. He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and various private-sector clients.
Frenky holds a bachelor’s degree in social and political sciences (majoring in anthropology) from the University of Indonesia and a master’s degree in public policy from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
